Kim Kardashian is still bitter about one aspect of her split from Kris Humphries!
In Thursday’s new episode of The Kardashians, the model got candid about her quickie marriage — and why she “had to” give up her 18-carat emerald-cut diamond engagement ring as part of a divorce deal despite paying for the bling herself!
As you’ll recall, Kim and Kris tied the knot in 2011 before breaking up just 72 days later! Before she could even finish hashing out the divorce in 2013, she met Kanye West and got pregnant with their first child, North West. Obviously, she was eager to wrap up the divorce then — so she agreed to hand over the bling!

She dished:
“I didn’t keep that. In order to divorce him, he said I had to give him the ring.”
Damn!
Normally, this wouldn’t be so weird, but it was for Kim since she said Kris only “contributed a fifth” of the cost of the ring! Oof! That hurts!
At the time, Kris Jenner claimed the cost of the ring was “less than half” of the rumored $2 million price tag. Still expensive AF!
It also probably has to sting considering the former Boston Celtics player ended up auctioning off the jewelry for $749,000! His rep at the time told E! News that he was “very pleased with the final result.” Hah! We’re sure he was, that’s a lot of money off a ring he didn’t even fully purchase! That said, he reportedly donated the proceeds to charity.
The designer of the ring, Lorraine Schwartz, told the SKIMS founder she made the “best” decision she could at the time — but Kimmy Kakes is still salty about it! She complained in the new Hulu episode:
“I would’ve loved a collection.”
LOLz! FWIW, she actually could have a pretty big failed engagement collection at this point!
She was given a 14-carat cushion-cut engagement ring from her first husband Damon Thomas, which belonged to her momma. She also got to keep a 15-carat cushion-cut ring from the rapper amid their 2022 divorce — and it’s the “only piece of jewelry” she didn’t have with her when she was robbed at a Paris hotel in 2016. Her second engagement ring from Ye, featuring a 20-carat emerald-cut diamond, was taken during that incident.
That said, she considers the “original ring that I got proposed to” the “most important” piece, she shared:
“That one I’m gonna give to Northie because she was with me when I got engaged.”
Aw! That’s so sweet!
By the way, the mother of four is already dreaming about what her next ring will look like! She revealed:
“I wonder what my next ring shape will be — on my last and final hoorah.”
Hah! It better be a good one — and hopefully one she won’t have to pay for!
