One of Kate Hudson’s co-stars will always have a special place in her heart!
While taking a walk down memory lane at her iconic scenes in an interview with Vanity Fair on Tuesday, the 45-year-old actress couldn’t help but gush about her How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Fool’s Gold co-star Matthew McConaughey! She said:
“It was truly an amazing experience. Matthew just brought it, and he always does.”

They always made a great pair on-screen — just look at them:
We’re glad to know she felt the same off-camera, too!
Kate shared that Matthew always went on set “without ego” and brought “so much amazing energy” to every project. They also had great chemistry together! She continued:
“With Matthew and I, is just a very similar type of joie de vivre. We love life. We lead with energy. Very competitive by nature, we’re competitive with each other. Very flirtatious. Not afraid to be flirtatious. I think there’s just a similar energy that somehow allowed us to be able to really connect on screen and fall in love.”
For Kate, Matthew is ultimately one of her “great loves!” Cute! But obviously, she is not in love with him romantically. The actor is happily married to Camila Alves, and Kate is engaged to Danny Fujikawa. However, the Running Point lead expressed that they just match each other’s energy so well on-screen:
“You have great loves of your life and then, as actresses, I think you have great loves in your work. He’s one of my great loves. That just is something that happens when you meet and you feel that chemistry. It’s just sort of an energetic thing. And great producers can see that right away. I feel really lucky that I got to experience that with someone as talented and as fun as Matthew.”
Uggggghhhh! We NEED another movie starring Matthew and Kate ASAP! A How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days sequel or something! Sounds like she’d do it in a heartbeat!
