Saqib Ayub recently received rave reviews for playing the character of Irfan in Reema Kagti’s highly acclaimed Superboys Of Malegaon. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actor revealed that he will next be seen in the Pan-India Telugu film HIT: The Third Case, which stars Nani in the lead.
EXCLUSIVE: Superboys Of Malegaon actor Saqib Ayub to star in HIT: The Third Case: “Got a call for this film out of the blue”
Saqib said that despite it being a Telugu film, he didn’t face a language issue. “Luckily, my character is a Hindi-speaking character,” he said. “I got a call for this film out of the blue. Luckily, I was in Hyderabad shooting for First Copy. So, I had a meeting with the director. I had the same question about the language. But they asked me not to worry as the story is Pan-India. In the film, Nani sir goes to different locations to find the killer.”
Adding more about the language, he said, “They said they wanted a Hindi speaking actor and my dialogues will be in Hindi. But they said that in case there are any changes and Telugu lines are added, they will teach me on the sets as there aren’t much dialogues for my character.”
Saqib is happy to be starring in HIT: The Third Case after Superboys Of Malegaon. “Nani sir is a superstar down there. He has a different system and way of working. It has been a very good learning experience for me. I am very hopeful that after the release of HIT (3), some more doors will open for me in Telugu cinema as well. It’s a very high budget film. It is shot in Kashmir, Bihar, Hyderabad and all over India,” he said.
The first two HIT movies starred Adivi Sesh in the lead. Although HIT: The Third Case stars Nani as the central character, it will also have an appearance by Adivi.
