Kurts Adams Rozentals’ dreams of going to the Olympics have been shattered… Because of OnlyFans!
The aspiring Olympic athlete, who’s been working towards competing in the individual canoe slalom, revealed last month on Instagram that in 2024 after years of hard work, blood, sweat, and tears training, he finally earned a spot on Great Britain’s World Class Program, which guides young athletes on a path to the Olympics. However, he received a call from governing body Paddle UK in April BANNING him from competing and ultimately shattering his dreams. And they cited his “social media posts.”
He claimed that “money has always been a massive struggle” for his family — so he started turning out “edgy videos” in hopes of growing a following large enough to generate some income. Why? Because he says the £16,000 grant Paddle UK offers (about $21k USD) is nowhere near enough to cover living expenses for him to adequately focus on training. You can see his post (below):
So messed up!
Over the weekend, he spoke more about the fiasco with BBC Sport, telling the outlet he officially made an OnlyFans account in January of this year to supplement his income:
“I have been posting videos (on Instagram) that are consciously made to be edgy in order to drive conversions to my ‘spicy content page’ (on OnlyFans), to fund this ultimate dream of going to the Olympics.”
The 22-year-old told the outlet he’s earned over £100,000 (over $100k USD) since starting the page in January and that the call from Paddle UK last month banning him left him shaken:
“I kind of froze and I couldn’t believe the words I was hearing because this is what I put my life into this is everything I do. My personality at this point, my identity, is sport and I want to be a professional athlete chasing my Olympic dream.”
That’s so sad!

On the program’s grant and how much money he needs to be able to focus on training rather than work, he added:
“I don’t know how much you need but it’s certainly not £16,000. When you have to cover rent, travel, food… and most athletes who train full-time are all living in London. They’re very fortunate to have parent backing — I wasn’t. I never had the ability to move to London because of financial struggles so I was always doing the travel from the East Midlands, where I live, to London, back-and-forth, back-and-forth.”
A Paddle UK spokesperson denied Rozentals’ ban as a disciplinary measure but rather an “interim action” and a “neutral act designed to protect all parties” to “safeguard other athletes, staff, and volunteers due to the nature of the allegation.”
They added:
“The investigation has been referred to independent investigation service Sport Integrity … Paddle UK is committed to ensuring a safe and open environment for all, and interim action under the Athlete Disciplinary Policy is only taken where necessary and proportionate.”
The program’s Athlete Disciplinary Policy lists “offensive use of social media” and “indecent, offensive or immoral behavior” as things that could lead to de-selection.
Oof. How tough…
When asked if he will cut his OnlyFans career short to be able to continue on with the program, Rozentals noted:
“This is the hardest decision that I’ve ever faced in my life. I came to the realisation about why I started doing this last winter after years of struggle, years of living on the edge, my mum working 90 hours-a-week, having bailiffs at the door. I’m going to find a way where we don’t have to struggle, where my mum can enjoy her life and I’m able to put everything into this sport because when you’re thinking about how to pay the rent this month and you’re standing at the start line, that’s not very conducive [to performing well]. It’s a tough decision but unless something changes in the way athletes are paid I don’t see a way of working with Paddle UK.”
What a tricky situation! What are your thoughts, Perezcious readers??
