Fans better grab their tickets to The Fantastic Four: First Steps fast! The latest trailer for the upcoming film puts the focus on the “Family” of Marvel’s First Family.
June was always bound to be an expensive month for fans. With Superman, Jurassic World Rebirth, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps all premiering next month, those who want a guaranteed seat for all three of those films have been preparing all of May to buy their tickets. Shockingly, despite coming out last, Marvel has put their tickets out for sale first, even going so far as to entice fans with a brand new trailer.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps doesn’t show anything too crazy in the latest trailer. There’s no big reveal of Mole Man or Doctor Doom. Rather, it focuses on Marvel’s First Family and the bonds they have together. There’s a lot of fun banter that captures the heart of what the movie is trying to go for, seemingly trying to sell tickets off love in the same way that Superman has focused much of its promotion around the feeling of hope.
Can The Fantastic Four Be Marvel’s Next Triumph?
Marvel has had a bit of a rocky go recently, with their movies struggling at the box office (at least, compared to their usual numbers). The Fantastic Four: First Steps doesn’t just have to shake off that mojo, but it also has to compete with two other titans of blockbusters. Selling tickets is going to be an uphill battle, so it makes sense that the studio would try their best to get ahead of the pack before general audiences realize when the other movies are hitting the scene.
Of course, the sale of tickets aren’t the only issue Marvel has to contend with when it comes to The Fantastic Four: First Steps. It’ll be the last MCU movie for over a year once it finally releases. The tone that this leaves with audiences is one the studio won’t be able to shake, unlike how they’ve treated some of their other tentpole heroes that have underperformed. There’s a lot riding on this film, and hopefully that ride is into the sunset!
