A 28-year-old Florida teacher is in big trouble after allegedly sending explicit photos to a 14-year-old student over Snapchat. Infuriatingly, when the boy did speak out… he got suspended!

According to multiple reports, Oliver Fell (pictured above in her mugshot) turned herself in to police in Bradenton, Florida on June 2 after they put out a warrant for her arrest. The educator, who worked as a special education teacher at Haile Middle School in that city, has since been charged with multiple offenses. Those include lewd conduct with a student by an authority figure, which is a second-degree felony, and transmission of harmful material to a minor, which is a third-degree felony.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by ABC 7 News, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office first became aware of Fell’s alleged actions way back in March. On the 3rd of that month, a middle school resource officer was told by a 14-year-old male student that he’d been communicating with a teacher over social media.

The boy allegedly showed the officer a screen recording from another student’s phone which showed a conversation on Snapchat. (Maybe to hide the fact he was taking a photo? Snapchat will sometimes notify a user if their DMs are being screengrabbed.) In that recording, per the affidavit, a person cops now believe to be Fell was seen allegedly sending three photos: one of her in a bathing suit, one of a woman in a brown dress (the face couldn’t be seen), and one “image of a nude female breast … no facial features observed.” The last image also had a “green plush pillow/stuffed animal” in it as well — a detail which will be important here in a minute.

The resource officer took action. But when confronted, Fell denied everything! She said the bathing suit and dress photo were of her, but they were images from her publicly available Instagram account, and anyone could have swiped them. As for the breast photo, she denied it was her at all.

In turn, the school resource officer allegedly “didn’t use the Snapchat application to navigate through her account and [simply] accepted her denial of the suspected lewd images,” per the affidavit. And so, that was that. For the time being…

A few weeks later, after his mother gave parental consent, the boy’s phone was seized by the cops. On it, they found communications between the boy and Fell from TikTok. Since Snapchat doesn’t save images, they didn’t find the breast image or anything else that may have come from that social media site.

Until they went to Snapchat’s corporate connections with a search warrant, that is!

Investigators were eventually able to obtain proof from the tech company of the account that communicated with the teenager. And guess what?? The name, date of birth, and address associated with that account all came back as a perfect match for Fell. Uh oh…

Furthermore, the Snapchat account in question became friends with the teenage boy’s account in December 2024 — so things were apparently going on for a few months. But then, the boy’s page was allegedly removed from Fell’s friends account on March 4, 2025. That, if you’re keeping score at home, would be ONE DAY AFTER the screen recording was first shared with the school resource officer.

Busted!

But let’s rewind. If they thought the teen was making up that his teacher was sending him sexy pics, wouldn’t he get in trouble? Yep! According to another ABC 7 News report, the boy’s mother Beverly Hernandez claims her son was actually SUSPENDED by school officials after first making the allegations against Fell. After the school resource officer took Fell at her word that the Snapchat account didn’t belong to her, the school turned the screws on Hernandez’s son, and suspended him from school for making a false accusation!!! WTF!!!

According to the miffed mom, Fell remained in a classroom teaching students all the way up until May 14 — more than two months after the school resource officer was first shown the screen recording. At that point, Hernandez claimed the teacher was only finally “reassigned to a district site with no contact with students.” The mom said to the news outlet:

“Not only was I disappointed that a teacher that was put there to protect my child was grooming him … I’m more disappointed that they inflicted more trauma by calling him a liar. By him thinking he was doing the right thing and speaking up, they retaliated against him.”

Seriously…

Well, investigators started digging deeper from there, and they discovered even more.

Remember that “green plush pillow/stuffed animal” we mentioned that could be seen in the nude photo?? Welp, cops took out a search warrant at Fell’s house and found that exact stuffed animal. Yeahhh… They also noted in their arrest report that “bedding observed during the search warrant was similar to the bedding observed in the photograph.” Yikes!

Upon making those connections, detectives went back to the teenage boy and asked for the full story. According to local media reports, he told them he first got Fell’s Snapchat account during school hours one day last December. They then started chatting privately over Christmas break.

One day, he asked his teacher on the social media site whether she’d bring snack chips in for the class. To that, she allegedly responded with a winking emoji and this message:

“What are you going to do for them?”

Uhhh…

Then, during a later conversation, she allegedly shared another winking emoji and this message:

“I want to taste you.”

The convo continued from there, allegedly including a moment where Fell told the boy about her sexual experiences before he asked whether she’d ever sent nude photos. That’s when she sent the aforementioned pics, cops now believe.

Unsurprisingly, according to the arrest affidavit, she allegedly asked the boy “not to tell anybody about their conversation” after taking it there. Despicable. Truly and completely despicable.
