Ram Charan produced The India House faces flooding mishap on set; Nikhil Siddhartha confirms “Crew is safe”
Several videos from the location have surfaced on social media, showing water gushing into the set while cast and crew members scramble to safety. Panic-stricken voices can be heard as people rush to save not just themselves, but also the camera and lighting equipment. The unexpected flooding temporarily brought the shooting schedule to a halt and caused extensive damage to the film’s elaborate period set.
In the midst of the commotion, actor Nikhil Siddhartha took to social media to assure fans and well-wishers about the safety of the crew. “We r all Safe. Sometimes in our Quest to give the Best cinematic Experience we take Risks. Today we survived a Huge mishap thanks to the Alert Crew and Precautions taken. We lost Expensive Equipment but by gods grace there was no human damage. #IndiaHouse,” the actor shared, stressing that while the loss of equipment was unfortunate, there were no serious injuries.

The production team also released a statement saying, “A mishap occurred on the sets of #TheIndiaHouse while shooting today. Everyone on the sets is safe and sound. Thank you for all your concern. #JaiMataDi.”
The India House is directed by Ram Vamsi Krishna and is one of the most anticipated Telugu films currently in production. While many had speculated that the film was based on the life of Veer Savarkar, the makers have clarified that the narrative goes in a different direction. In an earlier interview, the director explained that the film focuses on a group of Indian students in 1905 and has elements that remain under wraps to preserve the intrigue.
Despite the setback, the production is expected to resume after damage control and necessary safety inspections. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictability involved in film production and the risks undertaken to deliver larger-than-life cinematic experiences.
