Who is Alden Ehrenreich playing in the MCU? A recent rumor reveals that the star may be playing a key role in the Ironheart series.

Ironheart has taken so long to come out that many people have forgotten most of the news that came out about the series during production. Some fans likely don’t even know that Alden Ehrenreich and Anthony Ramos will be joining the MCU in the series. Yet while Ramos has been confirmed to play The Hood, Ehrenreich’s role has been left to the realm of the rumor mill.

The latest rumor abut his Ironheart role comes from The Cosmic Circus. According to a recent Q&A from the outlet, Alden Ehrenreich will be playing Ezekiel Stane in the MCU. Sadly, it doesn’t seem as though Ehrenreich will be sticking around for long, with it being described as a one-and-done part.

Who Is Ezekiel Stane In The MCU?

Ezekiel Stane, better known as Zeke Stane, is the son of Obadiah Stane. This should be a familiar name to anyone interested in Ironheart, as Obadiah Stane served as the villain for the first ever MCU film with Iron Man. While details about Alden Ehrenreich’s take on the character weren’t revealed in the rumor, it’s likely his role will at least partially draw from the original comics.

While Ezekiel Stane has purposefully kept much of his youth a secret in the comics, the character has a deep hatred for Tony Stark due to the hero killing his father Obadiah Stane. He spent his life seeking revenge, using black market Iron Man tech to exact retribution. Given Riri Williams is also using tech at least inspired by Iron Man in Ironheart, it’ll certainly be interesting to see the two clash in the MCU if this rumor is true.
