Is Daredevil: Born Again going to be truly brutal? The final trailer for the series has released leading up to its debut on Disney Plus.
One of the big sticking points used to promote Daredevil: Born Again is that the project isn’t constrained by the perceived limits of Disney Plus. In fact, the showrunner has boasted about how the series manages to go even further than the Netflix incarnation did in many ways. This has led many to wonder just how violent and dark the show will get when it finally drops on streaming.
This question was partially answered in the final trailer for Daredevil: Born Again. In it, fans can hear Jon Bernthal’s Punisher chastising the Man Without Fear for his actions. Not for doing anything, but rather for not giving into his violent nature and doing what he knows is right. While it’s not clear exactly what is being referred to, the presence of Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye suggests that the character may have a larger role in the Disney Plus series than first believed.

The Darker Tone Of Daredevil: Born Again
Even aside from this trailer, it’s clear that Daredevil: Born Again will touch on much darker subjects than the original series. While the Netflix show was never afraid to pull its punches in regards to violence, most of its runtime was dedicated to discussions of morality and crime. The Disney Plus series is leaning headfirst into the violence, however. Heck, one of its starring characters Muse is set to be a serial killer making art out of people’s blood!
As for what darkness is driving Matt Murdock throughout Daredevil: Born Again, it’s hard to say. One high profile death has been confirmed for the Disney Plus series thanks to set photos from when the project was filming. Beyond that, the presence of Bullseye means that anyone from the Netflix show could be on the chopping block leading into the newest incarnation of the show, especially given the vendetta he has against those that stopped him last time.
