Marvel Studios has unveiled two new images from its 2025 slate, giving fans a closer look at Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts. The images were released as part of USA Today‘s 2025 movie preview.

The Captain America: Brave New World image features Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson fully suited up and ready for action. The sneak peek highlights Wilson’s modernized costume, which retains the classic red, white, and blue color scheme while showcasing a sleeker, tactical design. This marks Mackie’s first solo outing as Captain America following his transition into the role in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Meanwhile, the second image offers a glimpse of the Thunderbolts team. John Walker (Wyatt Russell), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), and Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) are shown standing together, looking at something off-screen.

Marvel’s upcoming movies

Both movies showcase heroes who are expected to help shape the new Avengers team in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Captain America: Brave New World will see Sam Wilson tackling villains like Red Hulk and The Leader as he fully steps into the mantle of Captain America, while Thunderbolts explores a team of the MCU’s most iconic anti-heroes.

In addition to Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts, 2025 will also see the release of Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The 2025 movies are expected to lead directly into the events of Avengers: Doomsday and its follow-up, Secret Wars, both of which are set to conclude Marvel’s Multiverse Saga.

Captain America: Brave New World is set to hit theaters on February 14, 2025, followed by Thunderbolts on May 2, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest updates on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
