A new rumor about Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World suggests that major changes were made during the movie’s reshoots, including the removal of a post-credits scene.
According to a Hollywood insider who goes by “MyTimeToShineHello” on social media, the original version of the Captain America: Brave New World post-credits scene featured Thunderbolt Ross/Red Hulk (Harrison Ford) visiting his daughter Betty Ross (Liv Tyler) at her home, after the world believes that he had died. The scooper added that the final version of the movie features a different post-credits scene.
Reshoots have become a common part of Marvel’s production process, often used to refine storylines or adjust for the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe saga. However, recent reports have speculated that the reshoots of Captain America: Brave New World may have been more substantial ahead of the movie’s release in February 2025.
The original post-credits scene for Captain America: Brave New World would have confirmed Red Hulk’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The description aligns with comments from Empire Magazine’s interview with Harrison Ford, where he expressed interest in continuing with the role: “I’m awaiting my new assignment. I think it will be fascinating to see where that character goes if he goes anywhere.”
