Captain America: Brave New World starring Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Harrison Ford, and others, will reveal a lot of answers on what the future of the MCU looks like. Releasing a week away from now, the film is generating a lot of buzz with various speculations about what the film will unveil, how it will set up Avengers: Doomsday and will there be a Wolverine connection that will leave audiences on the edge of their seats.
Captain America: Brave New World: “This should cement Sam Wilson as the new leader of the Avengers”, reveals director Julius Onah
Director Julius Onah recently shared his insights on the upcoming journey of Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and hinted at his expanding role with the Avengers moving forward. Julius Onah said “All I’ll say is, right now my heart and soul is in this film, but I think this is a movie that cements Captain America and Sam Wilson as our new Captain America as a leader of the Avengers going forward. So, I’m just really excited about getting this out in the world.”
While Sam Wilson may not have the advantage of super soldier serum, leadership has never been about sheer strength. Steve Rogers proved that true leadership comes from courage, strategy and an unwavering sense of duty – qualities that Sam has embodied as both Falcon and Captain America. He has already faced formidable foes like Bucky Barnes and even Thanos, but Brave New World will test him like never before as he battles Red Hulk, who also serves as the President. This confrontation will push Sam to his limits and reaffirm why he is the perfect hero to carry the mantle of Captain America, revealed Onah. Julius also mentioned that Marvel has yet to confirm the next Avengers leader, but Sam Wilson is a strong contender for the role.
As for the future of Marvel, it looks promising with a powerhouse lineup, as Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is set to play a key role in Avengers Doomsday and Secret Wars. Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) is expected to return, aiding in the fight against Doctor Doom, Kevin Feige has confirmed the Fantastic Four too will have a major presence, expanding the team’s roster.
Coming to Captain America: Brave New World, the superhero actioner is set to release on February 14 in India in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
