Comedian Hannah Berner wants to make it clear, despite the joke she made in a new roast special, she is Team Blake all the way!
In Netflix’s Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year, which dropped on Friday, the comedian took a dig at Blake Lively. In reference to the very public feud with It Ends With Us co-star/director Justin Baldoni — and subsequent public backlash for her past behavior — Hannah joked:
“The word c**t was trending this year. I don’t think Blake Lively was that bad.”
Ouch…
Crucially, the special was filmed on Tuesday, December 17 — three days before news dropped that the Gossip Girl alum sued Justin for sexually harassing her on set. It was in that legal filing that we first learned the director allegedly launched a smear campaign to ruin Blake’s reputation in retaliation! Before that, the campaign kinda worked… A lot of folks did think Blake was the bad guy in the situation! Talk about bad timing for the joke!

Now, Hannah wants to address her savage comment in the wake of the new information that’s come out. The Summer House alum said in a brief statement on Instagram Stories Friday:
“My joke in the Netflix roast was filmed before news of the [complaint]. To be 100 percent clear, I support Blake xoxo.”
