Donald Trump Gives Todd & Julie Chrisley FULL PARDON For Their Fraud!

]

Well… we guess that worked?

A source claimed last summer that Savannah Chrisley was sucking up to Donald Trump with the hopes he’d pardon her parents if he got elected. Sounds far-fetched, right? We mean, the Chrisley Knows Best stars were convicted of a wire fraud and tax evasion scheme — hardly political persecutees or sob stories worthy of mercy. No chance, right?

Well, maybe with another administration. With Trump? It worked! He totally just offered Todd and Julie Chrisley a full pardon for their crimes! White House assistant Margo Martin posted video Tuesday of the POTUS calling Savannah to personally to tell her the news!

The Chrisleys will be freed post-haste. Crazy. Their attorney Alex Little said in a statement:

“This pardon corrects a deep injustice and restores two devoted parents to their family and community. President Trump recognized what we’ve argued from the beginning: Todd and Julie were targeted because of their conservative values and high profile. Their prosecution was tainted by multiple constitutional violations and political bias. Todd and Julie’s case is exactly why the pardon power exists: to correct misguided prosecutions and reaffirm basic constitutional protections. Thanks to President Trump, the Chrisley family can now begin healing and rebuilding their lives.”

Wow. Wild. We guess Trump was really moved by her celebrity endorsement — sorry, we mean her very sympathetic plight. Either that or he saw something relatable in reality stars found guilty of fraud. Who knows what that could be, right?

But it’s likely the former since the Chrisleys aren’t alone in being pardoned. Trump also pardoned a man named Paul Walczak on Tuesday, according to The New York Times. Walczak worked for his mother’s nursing home business where he started defrauding the government and then employees. He was convicted of evading taxes and also withholding over $10 million from the paychecks of nurses, doctors, and orderlies who worked for him. He used some of the money he pocketed to buy a yacht.

Walczak was sentenced to 18 months in prison just two weeks ago, with the judge declaring there “is not a get-out-of-jail-free card” for the rich. Nope. There seems to be a get-out-of-jail-for-a-sizable-donation card though. Walczak’s mother donated $1 million to Trump at a fundraising dinner last month. And this month her son is getting a pardon. Oh, and they’re also saving money, since he apparently no longer has to pay the $4.4 million in restitution. Cool. Super cool country.
