Do ya really wanna taste it? Peacemaker is set to get a revamped opening dance number with Frank Grillo’s Rick Flag Sr. heading into season 2.

Fans have a lot of questions about Peacemaker ahead of season 2. How will the series connect the old and new DC Universe? Why is it only now that Frank Grillo’s Rick Flag Sr. is going after Christopher Smith? And, perhaps most importantly, will the show get a brand new opening dance on the same level as the glorious rendition of Wig Wam’s Do Ya Wanna Taste It from season 1?

At least one of the DC Universe’s most burning questions has finally been answered. When speaking about his role as Rick Flag Sr. in Peacemaker season 2, Frank Grillo confirmed that the show will be getting a brand new dance number. In fact, they should be filming the opening sometime in the next month after some intense rehearsals!

“We’ve been rehearsing separately, and some of us together, and I think we all come together in the next two weeks,” Grillo explained to Collider. “We have three or four days set aside for the dance number, and we’re all going to be there together. We got some great moves to show the world.”

Frank Grillo Teases Huge Fight With Peacemaker

Dance battles aren’t the only battles the Peacemaker crew will be facing heading into season 2! Continuing to speak on his role in the series, Frank Grillo teased that Rick Flag Sr. has his eyes set on revenge. While he didn’t reveal much in the way of juicy details, he did tease that he faces off with the Paragon of Peace more than once throughout the project.

“ We do get into it — I’m not going to give anything away. It’s an interesting thing about Peacemaker and his perspective about my son and what his feelings are about himself because of that. So, we did get into some tangles, but I don’t know that people are going to expect what’s to happen.”

The more information that comes out about Frank Grillo’s role in season 2, the more it seems Rick Flag Sr. will be a key antagonist in the show instead of simply a cameo from the broader DC Universe. Given how much Peacemaker has focused on redemption and fatherhood, it’ll be interesting to see which road Grillo’s character takes as he evolves throughout the series.
