Is the Justice Gang getting a new name? The newest teaser for Superman suggests big things are in store for Hawkgirl and her super team!
The Justice Gang has been one of the biggest oddities of the Superman movie. When Hawkgirl and Guy Gardner were first seen together in a teaser, fans were convinced that this was the beginnings of the Justice League of America in the DC Universe. But when, of all things, a pack of Uno cards confirmed that the team was going to be called the Justice Gang, fans were left wondering how permanent that name could really be.
Luckily, the answer seems to be “not very permanent”. The latest teaser for Superman focuses on the members of the Justice Gang, with special attention paid to Hawkgirl and Guy Gardner at the end of the teaser. While the Green Lantern insists that that will be the official name for the team, the winged warrior suggests that other options may still be left on the table.

Will The Justice Gang Become The Justice League?
Most people assume that this teaser is meant to suggest that the Justice Gang will become the Justice League at the end of Superman, and they’re probably right. Leading speculation suggests that Mister Terrific will take Metamorpho to form The Terrifics, while Hawkgirl and Guy Gardner stay behind to create the Justice League of America with Maxwell Lord.
Then again, it’s possible that the Justice Gang moniker sticks around after Superman. There likely won’t be a proper Justice League film for at least 3 years, so they may be saving that reveal for another silver screen outing. Though given Hawkgirl and Guy Gardner are set to return in Peacemaker, the arguments about the name will likely continue through 2025!
