Controversial Love Is Blind couple Colleen Reed and Matt Bolton are going their separate ways!
After four years of marriage, the pair announced they were divorcing. They wrote in a joint statement posted to Instagram on Friday:
“We wanted to share something personal, and this is not easy to do, but after nearly four years together, we’ve decided to end our marriage and move forward on our own paths.”

The announcement comes after months and months of speculation they broke up. It started after fans noticed Colleen wasn’t wearing her ring or posted a picture of Matt on Instagram in a while. However, Colleen shut down the rumors to Us Weekly late last month, saying they were “doing great” and “living blissfully.” Well, she wasn’t telling the truth there! In the statement, Matt and Colleen shared that they’ve been separated for a while and tried to work things out — but ultimately, they couldn’t:
“We’ve been separated for some time now and have being our best to work through everything privately and with care. This was an incredibly difficult decision, not one we made lightly. It came with a lot of thought and it’s been an emotional process for both of us.”
Although Matt and Colleen broke up, they have zero regrets at the end of the day:
“We met in the most unique and unexpected way, and we’ll always be grateful for the love and memories we’ve shared. There’s not one thing we would change and we continue to have deep respect and care for one another. Thank you to everyone who has supported us. We kindly ask for compassion as we navigate this transition.”

It’s unknown what caused the divorce. However, fans mostly likely aren’t surprised by the news as they know the two have been through a whole lot of downs ever since they met in the pods while filming Love Is Blind. Remember that explosive fight Matt got into Colleen when she and her former suitor Cole Barnett told each other they would’ve dated “in the real world.” Or when he went off on her for going out to the club with friends instead of “coming home to her f**king boy?” Viewers desperately wanted Colleen to dump his ass as they thought Matt was a walking red flag. They even claimed he was abusive, which the ballet dancer later denied.
However, Colleen didn’t leave him — not yet, at least. The duo got married at the end of Season 3. They moved in together two years after the wedding. And now, Matt and Colleen are over.
