Jennifer Affleck is back on social media.

As Secret Lives of Mormon Wives fans know, it has been a while since we have heard from the reality star. The last time she posted on social media was November 6, causing people to worry and speculate about what was going on. And the biggest theory running around about her silence online? She left the show in the middle of filming!

You see, Jennifer was set to return for the second season of Mormon Wives with the rest of the cast. She even created a bunch of content on TikTok with the group in October while trolling all of us amid those Zac Affleck divorce rumors — seemingly during filming for the show. But then three weeks ago something happened between Jen and her co-stars. It all started when Layla Taylor posted a video to the platform on November 12 with Demi Engemann, Jessi Ngatikaura, and Mikayla Matthews, with the words overtop that read:

“Let’s hear out what she has to say!”

But it then says “plays victim.” Watch the clip (below):

While some automatically assumed the shade was directed at Whitney Leavit, Demi and Jessi hinted that fans “have no idea” who they are talking about. Whitney’s the obvious choice! She was the season one villain accused of playing the victim all the time! So the unexpected person has to be: Jen. Backing the fan speculation that she is on the outs with the group is the fact that Demi, Jessi, and Layla did not follow her on Instagram anymore at the time!

And get this? When all this speculation began, that came shortly after the last time Jen posted on social media! And we have not seen her with the group for over a month now! She hasn’t even commented on her castmates’ posts over the past few weeks, it seems! With all that in mind, fans have questioned if she quit Mormon Wives. Others wondered if she stepped away from social media because she was divorcing Zac — though that just seems wishful thinking!

What is going on? Well, Jen is finally addressing her absence. She wrote on Instagram Stories Friday alongside a picture of herself and her daughter:

“Hey guys. It’s been a while. I’ve been focusing on my physical and mental well-being, which is why I stepped back from social media. Thank you to everyone who has shown me so much love and support this year. Whether through a message or a simple hug in person, it has truly helped me heal in so many ways.”

Posting a photo of her son, she continued on the next slide:

“Even though life has been challenging, it has also made me appreciate the many blessings God has given me.”

Getting super candid with her followers, the television personality then shared that “it’s been a struggle to get out of bed on most days.” Oh no. However, she noted that “this week was the first time in a while that I felt like myself again.” One’s mental health is so important. We’re glad she stepped back and took a moment for herself during this tough time. But now, it appears she’s ready to get back into her work again. She continued:

“I had the opportunity to work with @mcobeauty_us this week, and I can’t express how grateful I am. They made me feel absolutely beautiful.”

And guess who else worked on a campaign with MCoBeauty this week? Layla and Taylor Frankie Paul! They also had a film crew with them. So, is it possible Jen has been filming the show — just not with the cast as much as she used to while she focused on her mental health? Or did she really leave and did not film with Layla and Taylor during this gig? Hmm. Her status on the show is unknown right now. But to give fans a little hope, Layla is following Jen again!
