Jennifer Lopez has suffered a severe facial injury.
The Jenny from the Block singer took to Instagram on Tuesday evening to share shocking photos from a facial injury she suffered while rehearsing for the American Music Awards, which she’s set to host later this month. The 55-year-old first revealed the injury in a Story post of her icing her face. She ominously wrote:
“So this happened…”

The following photo really shows the extent of her injury though… In a follow up Story post, the Love Don’t Cost A Thing singer reveals a gash on the center of her swollen nose. In the photo, her eyes also appear to be swollen as well. She wrote:
“(During @amas rehearsals)”

Finally, the mom of two revealed she required stitches to mend the gash. In a Story post with Beverly Hills-based plastic surgeon Dr. Diamond, she wrote:
“Thank you for stitching me up Dr. Diamond. A week later and a whole lotta ice, I’m good as new.”

Scary! It’s not clear what exactly caused the injury, but we’re glad she’s okay!!
