Filming for Peacemaker is nearing a close! A fresh batch of set photos from James Gunn reveals John Cena has finished production on season 2.

With Peacemaker season 2 not hitting screens until late next year, fans thought that there was a while to go for filming the series. However, it seems the show is progressing a lot faster than expected, with James Gunn posting new set photos confirming that both John Cena and Jennifer Holland have finished their parts in the show. While not much about the project was revealed in these shots, it does show the crew lounging after a long day of work!

Of course, just because John Cena and Jennifer Holland have wrapped filming doesn’t mean that Peacemaker as a whole is done. Shows are often filmed out of order, so it’s likely that the supporting cast has plenty to film for season 2 before filming is officially wrapped. However, the leading man finishing his portion of the show does suggest that things are nearing their end.

Peacemaker Season 2 Gets A Major DC Staple

Those weren’t the only set photos shared by James Gunn from production on Peacemaker season 2. The director also revealed that Big Belly Burger will be a location visited in the series, even debuting some fun swag that some actors were able to steal. Notably, John Cena is absent from these photos featuring the ARGUS agent played by Sol Rodriguez, suggesting that the subplot may extend past his involvement.

Given how iconic Big Belly Burger is to the DC Universe, fans would love if that merch found its way onto convention hangers. It’s also certain that John Cena will be scarfing down a few of their artery-clogging burgers sometime during Peacemaker season 2, even if James Gunn didn’t include him in these set photos.
