Justin Bieber is getting cryptic again!
Taking to Instagram Stories on Wednesday, the pop star posted a Biblical message… though not in the most sacred of terms. And it’s really giving subtweet energy — like he’s upset with someone!
He references a story from the Gospel of John, in which Jesus waits several days before traveling to see his friend Lazarus, who had fallen ill. When Jesus arrives, Lazarus has already passed away and is buried. So then Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead.

That’s what the Biebs decided to post about for some reason! But the way he talked about it… Just take a look! He wrote:
“Jesus didn’t heal his best friend Lazareth right away, even tho he knew people would talk s**t, saying how could he be god if he didn’t heal his best friend? But Jesus wasn’t trying to please everyone. And didn’t allow the people to rush him. He knew what he was capable of.”
You know how the Bible is always calling out haters who “talk s**t”! LOLz!
What intrigues Justin the most about this story is how people doubted Jesus when they never should. The Yummy singer continued:
“Best part of this story is while everyone thinks Jesus is late and let his friend die Jesus is never late. He shows up and RAISES HIM FROM THE DEAD SHOWING THAT HE HAS THE POWER OVER LIFE AND DEATH. His answer his hard too. Why u trippin’ didn’t I tell u fools I’m HIM.”

It is unclear why JB shared this post! We know he’s dedicated to his faith, but there seems to be more here than just recapping a Sunday School story for the hell of it! The lines about people who “talk s**t” and not “trying to please everyone” immediately grab our attention. See, JB himself has been in the headlines lately for some eyebrow-raising reasons!
For starters, there is the marriage drama with Hailey Bieber! Rumors have been going around for months that they are experiencing trouble in paradise! Then fans have been concerned about Justin recently as he has stepped out a few times appearing upset and tense.
The alarm bells continued to fire off as he had dropped several posts of him smoking weed or rapping about being high… despite his history. His rep previously slammed the drug speculation, saying the rumors about his health are “exhausting and pitiful” and “shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive.”
So could this little sermon be a response to all the chatter about him lately? All the doubt? He’s not going to “please everyone” and knows people will talk about him negatively for his actions, but doesn’t care and will keep doing what he needs to do on his own time and terms. Is it about how he’s reevaluating and downsizing his team? Are there some s**t-talkers and Doubting Thomases in his inner circle?
Or, just to throw out another idea, is he possibly talking about his career? He has been teasing that new music. However, a source for People said that Justin is “working at his own pace and spending as much time with his family as he can,” so the tracks may not be coming soon. There are bound to be fans who are sick of waiting and want music now. Perhaps this is his response to them? You know, Justin’s way of saying not to doubt and rush him on this. He knows what he’s “capable of,” and that when the new music drops, it will be at the right time and the best work possible. Because he’s HIM??
