Veteran actor Kabir Bedi recently reflected on a 2–3-year estrangement with his daughter, Pooja Bedi, which was never publicly explained but widely speculated to involve a property dispute. He also spoke about his bond with his current wife, Parveen Dusanj, whom he married in 2016 after four previous marriages, including one with Pooja’s mother, Protima Bedi.
Kabir Bedi opens up about misunderstandings with daughter Pooja Bedi: “We were separated because of disagreements”
In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan on his podcast, Kabir Bedi addressed the ‘misunderstandings’ with his daughter Pooja Bedi. He said, “There are problems in every relationship sometimes. I don’t want to repeat the reasons again. However, there were a few misunderstandings – she did things that upset me, I must have done things that upset her. Important cheez yeh hai ki 2-3 saal we were separated because of disagreements. Ab woh khatam ho gaye hain.”
Kabir Bedi further shared, “Our relationship is going strong now. It’s a good relationship between father and daughter, and I am very proud of all the things she is doing. There’s a lot of love and respect between us.”
Kabir Bedi also spoke about his bond with wife Parveen Dusanj, saying, “Achha rishta hai. We have great mutual respect for each other. Parveen has her own career. She is a producer who produced Bad Boy Billionaire for Netflix. She has got various other projects she is developing. She has her career, Pooja has her own career.”
On the professional front, Kabir Bedi is set to appear in the reboot of his Italian series Sandokan.
