Sarah Jessica Parker hated this wardrobe choice SO much!
In Thursday’s episode of Kristin Davis‘ podcast Are You a Charlotte?, the actress reflected on a hysterical moment her co-star freaked out over a costume she had to wear! While chatting with showrunner Michael Patrick King, Kristin said SJP is still furious about the bridesmaid dress she was forced to wear when Kristin’s character Charlotte got married in Season 3. HA! Art imitates life, right?

She looks great, right? We’ve seen WAY more hideous bridesmaids dresses! But you guys won’t believe how upset she was! Kristin dished:
“Sarah did not want to wear beige at Charlotte’s wedding. Sarah is like still mad about it.”
The TV star was so fed up over the design choice she actually cut up the dress!!! Michael added:
“SJ goes and cuts up the Vera Wang dress. She hates it. She didn’t wanna wear beige so much, she cut it up and started putting tartan pieces on it because Trey [Charlotte’s husband] was wearing a kilt. I mean it was so funny.”
OMG!
Kristin replied:
“No, she was out of her mind.”
Kristin recalled her And Just Like That co-star later came to her to vent about the piece — but Kristin didn’t really see where she was coming from:
“At one point, she came to me and she was like, ‘I don’t understand…’ […] And I’m like, ‘But, it’s Charlotte’s wedding. Of course, you’d be wearing beige — matching. I mean, I don’t understand what you don’t understand.’”
Hah! All the bridesmaids wore similar beige dresses for the occasion. Makes perfect Charlotte sense! Honestly they should have written in how much Carrie and the others hated it!
Innerestingly, SJP threw away the matching bridesmaids dress tradition for her own character’s wedding! When Carrie walked down the aisle to marry Mr. Big in the 2008 Sex and the City movie, her bridesmaids all got to wear their own unique colored dresses. Kristin noted:
“Cut to her wedding many years later, Carrie’s wedding. You know, we were obviously not going to be wearing matching bridesmaids dresses.”
Ironically, the black gown Kristin wore ended up being one of her favorites from the franchise! LOLz!
