Mandy Moore has shared some harrowing videos from the Los Angeles wildfires.
In a new Instagram post, the 40-year-old singer shared some heartbreaking clips from her “sweet home” in Altadena, California. In the videos, you can see all the destruction and flames that have engulfed the area, with many buildings and homes being burned to the ground. She wrote in the caption:
“I love you, Altadena. Grateful for my family and pets getting out last night before it was too late (and endless gratitude to friends for taking us in and bringing us clothes and blankets). Honestly, I’m in shock and feeling numb for all so many have lost, including my family.”
She went on to reveal her children’s school was claimed in the wildfires, as well as some of her favorite places about the area:
“My children’s school is gone. Our favorite restaurants, leveled. So many friends and loved ones have lost everything too. Our community is broken but we will be here to rebuild together. Sending love to all affected and on the front lines trying to get this under control.”

The This Is Us star also shared some more info on her Stories, including a snap of her son Ozzie after they evacuated the area, where she wrote:
“Grateful for the kindness of friends that we had a place to land last night. Trying to shield the kids from the immense sadness and worry I feel. Praying for everyone in our beautiful city. So gutted for the destruction and loss. Don’t know if our place made it.”
Mandy didn’t clarify if her actual residence survived the fire or not in a second update, she may not yet know. But she said she’s “absolutely numb” from all the loss and destruction:
“This is Altadena. Leveled. My sweet home. I am devastated and gutted for those of us who’ve lost so much. I’m absolutely numb.”
So, so sad. Our heart goes out to all the victims who lost their lives and livelihoods in this massive tragedy.
