Is Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow going to be better than anyone expected? Sebastian Stan crosses the Marvel and DC divide to hype up the upcoming film.
Hype has never been greater for the DC Universe. Superman is just around the corner, and two new projects have officially entered production with Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow and Lanterns. The former is the apple in the internet’s eye as of recent, being based on an award-winning comic and bringing the dreams of fans across the world to life by casting Jason Momoa as the beloved Bastich himself: Lobo.
The excitement seems to be bleeding into the water. Or, at the very least, across the pond. During a recent promotional appearance, Marvel’s Winter Soldier himself Sebastian Stan revealed that he has fallen into the hype train for Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. This, in no small part, was due to DC Studios hiring Craig Gillespie, who had previously worked with Stan on projects like Dumb Money and Pam & Tommy.
“I’m gonna raise the bar, that movie is gonna be f***ing great!” The Marvel star spoke in a recently released video. “Because it’s got Craig Gillespie directing it, who is an unbelievable director, and I’m very excited.”
The Team Behind Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow
While most fans have had their focus drawn to the cast of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, Sebastian Stan is right in pointing out that DC Studios has some powerhouse titans behind the camera. While the obvious inclusion is director Craig Gillespie, he has a number of equally talented people on his team. This includes award-winning cinematographer Rob Hardy, who has worked on a number of blockbuster films including Ex-Machina, and Civil War.
The script itself is penned by Ana Nogueira, who is also attached to write the DC Universe’s Teen Titans movie following Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. While filming for the project has only just started, Sebastian Stan may be right on the money when it comes to the quality of the movie. At the very least, it’ll be rather pretty looking!
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is set to release on June 26, 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
