Last week, Naga Chaitanya returned to theatres for the first time after his marriage with Sobhita Dhulipala, with the film Thandel. Starring Sai Pallavi as his co-star, the film is inspired by true events and featured elements of romance, drama, and patriotism. With audiences showering praises on the team, a proud father Nagarjuna decided to pen a special note for his son and also for everyone who has worked towards creating Thandel.

Taking to the social media platform X aka Twitter, Nagarjuna appreciated his son’s dedication and sincerity towards his craft and wrote, “Dear @chay_akkineni, Proud of you my son! <3 I have watched you push boundaries, face challenges, and give your heart to the craft. Thandel is not just another film—it is a testament to your relentless passion, your courage to dream big, and your hard work”, and added multiple emojis.
He went on to express gratitude towards not only the team of the film but also Chay’s fans saying, “To all the Akkineni fans—you have stood by us like family, and Thandel’s success is as much yours as it is ours. Thank you for your endless love and support! Coming to Thandel, the film is directed by Chandoo Mondeti and is based on a real-life incident that occurred in 2018, depicting how Pakistani forces captured a fisherman from Srikakulam in international waters. Also starring Prakash Belawadi, Divya Pillai, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Kalpa Latha, among others, among others, along with Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, the movie released on February 7 in multiple languages.
