David Corenswet is striking his superhero stance! A new photo from Superman shows off the iconic hero inside of the Fortress of Solitude.
The Fortress of Solitude has taken up a surprising amount of the promotional runtime for Superman in the months leading up to release. The first teaser for the film started out with Krypto taking him to the iconic vista, and the extended preview focused entirely on David Corenswet’s character healing inside of the character’s iconic hidden base.
However, the one thing fans have yet to see is Superman arriving at the Fortress of Solitude in peak condition. This has luckily been remedied by Fandango, who recently released a never-before-seen photo of David Corenswet in full costume posing in the Fortress of Solitude. While it doesn’t reveal much about the moment in the film the image was taken from, it does give off one boat load of aura.

The Fortress Of Solitude’s Role In Superman
From the current footage known about Superman, there seems to be two distinct scenes (so far) that take place in the Fortress of Solitude. The first is the aforementioned preview showing Krypto dragging David Corenswet’s Man of Steel home to be healed with the power of the sun. The second is Lex Luthor and The Engineer breaking into the Fortress for a currently unknown reason.
The biggest piece of speculation, especially given a number of Spinmaster toys suggest a yeti may appear in the Fortress of Solitude, is that the film is going to adapt the alien zoo occasionally seen in the Fortress of Solitude. When Lex Luthor breaks into the base after tracking the hero, he steals the Parasite in order to absorb the power of David Corenswet’s Son of Krypton.
