Is Nightwing making his way to the DC Universe? David Corenswet reveals Batman’s protégé is the hero he wants Superman to meet the most.
With Superman kicking off a new era of the DC Universe later this week, perhaps the thing fans are most excited for is the unrivaled crossover potential. This will be the first time in decades that the franchise will have a truly cohesive plan for their heroes (and the legal rights to allow them all to appear). Which has left many fans wondering: which hero will be the next one met by David Corenswet’s Superman?
One of the biggest rumors to come out of the current DC Universe landscape is the “World’s Finest” film. There’s been a lot of speculation that James Gunn is currently writing a film focused on both Batman and Superman, potentially bringing David Corenswet into contact with Gotham characters ranging from Nightwing to Clayface.
David Corenswet Wants Nightwing & Superman To Meet
While that film is far from confirmed, David Corenswet seems to have his own thoughts on where Superman should go next in the DC Universe. During a recent red carpet interview, the actor was asked what hero he’d like to meet in a future project. Corenswet revealed that he’d love to meet Nightwing, though it seems that he’d be fine with encountering any version of Robin, so long as he gets to have big uncle energy.

Given a Teen Titans film is currently in development for the DC Universe, it’s likely that an official meeting between Superman and Nightwing likely isn’t far from becoming a reality. Though given Superman is also set to be the face of the massive franchise, it’s likely that David Corenswet will have his plate chocked full in trying to make introductions with heroes and villains alike!
Superman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
