Pedro Pascal is rocking his new hairdo! The actor recently posted a video giving fans their best look yet at his style as Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

For how anticipated The Fantastic Four: First Steps is, surprisingly little has surfaced in the way of set photos. While an initial wave poured out when the studio was filming outdoors, revealing a complete recreation of Yancy Street, those drone photos were all fans really got. This also meant that some characters, such as Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards, were almost entirely absent from every video released by paparazzi.

Of course, not even the most dedicated of fans are going to be able to snap photos during the last days of filming. But that doesn’t mean nothing has found its way out from the final days of production. Pedro Pascal recently made an appearance in a CNN piece called CNN Heroes introducing Project Libertad founder Rachel Rutter. The video, which was confirmed to have been filmed on the set of The Fantastic Four: First Steps by ComicBookMovie.com, provides the clearest look yet at the hairstyle being used for Reed Richards in the film.

First Look At Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards

This is the first truly clear photo fans have gotten of Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, with most prior looks being concept art, BTS photos, or drone footage. The video reveals that Pedro Pascal will be rocking the classic salt-and-pepper sides as Marvel’s smartest man alive. He also appears to be rocking a beard which, while a rarity for the character, does have a precedent in recent comics that focus on his role as a father.

It’s clear that Marvel doesn’t want to alter Pedro Pascal’s personal style too drastically for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, especially as its confirmed that the actor will reprise his role in Avengers: Doomsday when it films early next year. However, this small look does at least assure fans that even the smaller details are being incorporated into the newer look for Reed Richards when he hits the silver screen next year.
