The most awaited Sukumar directorial, Pushpa 2, starring Allu Arjun in the lead has lived up to the expectations of setting the box office on fire. According to very early box office trends, Pushpa 2: The Rule is poised to open in the range of Rs. 66 to 68 crores in Hindi, thereby emerging as the #1 opener of all time.

The film has opened to bumper response all across the board and was flirting with the first-day business of Jawan (Rs. 65.50 crores), to take the crown of the biggest opening day in the history of Hindi Cinema. The film is doing it without the additional padding of corporates in Hindi, and that too on a non-holiday, which makes the feat bigger than ever before.

The film is also the biggest non-holiday opener of All Time, as the start is bigger than Pathaan, which took a strong start of Rs. 57 crore in Hindi. Pushpa has attained these numbers with little support from the Southern Belt, as the Hindi version has not gotten a release in the South states.

The film is faring like a wildfire in mass pockets, but that’s not all, even the multiplexes are recording extraordinary footfalls. It’s the biggest opening of modern times, and the film could peak further with higher numbers on Sunday due to the holiday factor, as the reports are strong.
