Dolores Catania is really getting frustrated with her GLP-1 journey.
Of course, stars have heavily jumped on the trend of taking tirzepatides like Ozempic for weight loss. But it’s important to remember that it isn’t always a permanent solution. The meds help suppress your appetite and change the way your body breaks down sugar, which results in weight loss, but if they stop working you’re in BIG trouble!

Unfortunately, that was the case for the Real Housewives of New Jersey star… See, Dolores had previously mentioned going on the brand name drug Mounjaro, which ultimately helped her shed 20 pounds. An incredible achievement!
But sadly, she admitted on SiriusXM‘s Jeff Lewis Live that she’s gained all the weight back:
“I’m having a really hard time right now. My Mounjaro stopped working, I gained 20 lbs. I’ve been looking for therapy for all my friends. I’m really having a bad time with this.”
Oh no!
The 54-year-old said she “did it all” after host Jeff Lewis asked if she’d tried other brands, and it just seems like the GLP-1 meds have stopped working for her altogether. But why?! She speculates it may have something to do with a recent operation she underwent.
She said she stopped taking Mounjaro for about a month when she had to undergo a cardiac ablation. The operation involves surgeons freezing the inside of the heart to restore it to a normal rhythm. Luckily, everything went well and Dolores said she’s doing “fine.” However, the other medication she’s been taking after the surgery might be the culprit:
“I’m on a bunch of medicine, like, ten pills a day. It’s just a formality now. I have to take it for the next 90 days, then I should be done. Maybe that’s why I gained weight. I’m hoping maybe that’s why.”
Damn…
