Sabrina Carpenter finally got the stamp of approval from fans when it comes to her forthcoming album’s artwork!
The pop star announced last month that she is dropping a new album in August, Man’s Best Friend. She also unveiled the album cover… and it caused a lot of controversy online. You see, the artwork features Sabrina down on all fours in a short black dress and heels while a man grips a fistful of her hair. Check it out (below):

Fans were not obsessed with the album cover, though! Many slammed it for being too sexual and degrading.

Sabrina clapped back hard at the critics. She dropped a different version, this time a black-and-white photo of her dancing with a man in a suit. The cover pays homage to a famous image of Marilyn Monroe and her husband, Arthur Miller — but it’s also not at all sexual. Thus, she joked, it was “approved by God.” LOLz! A clear response to the album controversy. However, some fans did not appreciate the joke, calling it a “bad look!” Ugh. She cannot win.

Well, it looked like she couldn’t win… But maybe third time’s the charm?
Now, she has another alternative version available, and fans finally approve! The Please Please Please singer revealed a special edition cover of her album on Tuesday, showing a lingerie-clad Sabrina lounging in a chair by herself, no man in sight, while surrounded by flowers. In her hand, she holds a card with the initials “M.B.F.,” AKA the album’s title Man’s Best Friend. Take a look (below):
Wow! It is so different from the OG! And she received a completely different reaction to this cover! Her followers LOVE the alternate version, and they even think it should be the official one instead! See the reactions:

A genius idea if so! But bad news for the fans! It appears this version is only meant for vinyl, so you most likely won’t see it when you stream the album next month! Unless you purchase the special edition, you’re stuck with the OG!
