Shakira is currently in the hospital!
The iconic singer took to Instagram on Sunday to reveal terrifying information to her 91 million followers: she had to rush to the ER on Saturday night after experiencing a mysterious abdominal condition! She didn’t offer many details of the health scare, but noted it’s severe enough for her to currently remain in the hospital:
“I am sorry to inform you all that last night I had to go to the ER for an abdominal issue and am currently hospitalized.”
That’s SO scary! Poor Shakira!

Because of her mystery abdominal condition, she was forced to inform her fans she won’t be able to perform the Sunday date of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour in Peru:
“The doctors whose care I am currently under have communicated that I am not in good enough condition to perform this evening. I am very sad to not be able to take the stage today. I’ve been looking forward to reuniting with my incredible fans here in Peru. I hope to be released and well tomorrow so I’m able to perform.”
Oh no! Things must be pretty serious! The 48-year-old also is also scheduled to perform in Peru on Monday, but told fans who had tickets for Sunday’s show that she’s working on figuring out a new date:
“My team and the promoters are already working on a new date to communicate to you. Thank you all for your understanding. I love you all. Shak”
Sad! We’re sure fans will be disappointed, but what’s more important than tending to your health?? Health is WEALTH!
