How many versions of Miles Morales will be in Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse? Shameik Moore teases that there may be a surprising variant in store.
Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse is one of the most anticipated movies of this decade. This is in no small part due to the massive cliffhanger that the last film left fans are, where Shameik Moore’s Miles Morales was kidnapped by a variant played by Jharrel Jerome. This has left fans’ minds to wander wildly, wondering just what kind of story is in store for the next installment.
However, it seems as though Jharrel Jerome won’t be the only actor playing a variant of Miles Morales. Shameik Moore was recently asked about Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse at the Tribeca Film Festival. While it’s clear the actor was trying to playfully not admit anything new, he accidentally revealed that there would, in fact, be three versions of Miles Morales in the film.

The Lost Miles Morales Variant In Spider-Verse
This confirmation has caused the internet to go wild with speculation about who this third variant could be. Shameik Moore is already playing a more “classic” Miles Morales, whereas Jharrel Jerome is playing one that turned to a life of crime as The Prowler. Fans have combed through dozens of comics to try to find what version they might bring into Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse, with special attention being paid to the What If…? comics featuring Miles Morales variants.
However, most likely, the third variant of Miles Morales in Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse won’t be based on a comic. Rather, as Shameik Moore plays a version of Miles Morales who was never meant to get bit, and Jharrel Jerome one that was supposed to get bit but never was, it’s likely the final variant will be a “perfect” version of Miles Morales meant to serve as a capstone for the two characters’ arcs. Though, at this point, that’s just speculation.
