Superman is looking even better than fans expected! The trailer for the DC Universe’s flagship film sets the internet ablaze with its scale and spectacle.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting for the first official trailer for Superman. The teaser alone had fans assuming that it was the biggest trailer they’d get for quite some time. But with the confirmation that there was something bigger waiting just over the horizon, hype reached nuclear levels as speculation ran rampant over what could still be in store for the DC Universe’s freshman outing.
That prophesied first trailer is here, and it’s better than any fan could imagine. Not only does the new footage from Superman provide the blood-pumping action that fans praised from the initial teasers, but it expands on the DC Universe in so many ways. It doesn’t answer every question fans have, and provides a ton of new ones, but it does give them enough to chew on for quite a while.
The Summer Of Superman Officially Begins
This trailer likely officially starts what James Gunn has dubbed the “Summer of Superman’. The event has been teased as one of the biggest marketing pushes for a film in recent memory, likely due to Warner Bros. Discovery’s hope to make the DC Universe their next flagship franchise. And with NBA crossovers and Milk-Bone tie-ins already on the table, it’ll be interesting to see where the marketing goes from here on out.
It’s likely fans can expect at least one more trailer before Superman officially releases, likely sometime in mid-June. Following this, they may push out a number of TV spots and teasers for the DC Universe film that likely reuse footage from prior trailers, though with a few new shots mixed in. From there, the fate of the film lays in the hands of fans.
