Promotion for Superman has, admittedly, been rather tame. For as cool as fans have found all the little Easter Eggs in each trailer so far, James Gunn and the team behind the DC Universe have seemingly kept back the most exciting parts of the film for release. At least, they were until this latest trailer to promote ticket sales.
James Gunn has officially pulled out all the stops to help promote Superman. The latest trailer features the sprawling, action-packed world of the DC Universe in its full glory. From pocket dimensions to mechanized soldiers, the project has more action set pieces than anyone could have possibly imagined. Not to mention a few quips along the way!

Perhaps the biggest thing fans were able to gleam from this trailer to help promote tickets is Lex Luthor’s plan in Superman. The villain’s role in the new DC Universe has been kept pretty tightly under wraps. However, now it seems that Luthor plans to do everything he can to ruin Superman, targeting everyone from his friends to his family.
The trailer also gives fans a look at the more cosmic side of the DC Universe. While it’s never exactly clear what fans are looking at, multiple parts of the trailer seem to confirm that wormholes will be serve as a major battleground in Superman. It’s possible that Lex Luthor himself opens a wormhole in the middle of Metropolis, explaining the wanton destruction seen in set photos.
