Selena Gomez is helping Taylor Swift celebrate!
It’s been a joyous few days for the You Belong with Me singer and fans alike since she announced something many thought would never happen: she officially bought back the master recordings of her first six albums! In a celebratory handwritten note posted on her website, the 35-year-old announced:
“Hi, I’m trying to gather my thoughts into something coherent but right now my mind is just a slideshow. A flashback sequence of all the times I daydreamed about, wished for, and pined away for a chance to get to tell you this news. All the times I was thiiiiiiiiiiis close, reaching out for it, only for it to fall through. I almost stopped thinking it could ever happen, after 20 years of having the carrot dangled and then yanked away. But that’s all in the past now. I’ve been bursting into tears of joy at random intervals ever since I found out that this is really happening. I really get to say these words: All of the music I’ve ever made… now belongs… to me. And all my music videos. All the concert films. The album art and photography. The unreleased songs. The memories. The magic. The madness. Every single era. My entire life work.”
So cool! And guess who’s right by her side to help celebrate?? Her BFF Selena!

On Saturday night, the pair were spotted hitting Monkey Bar restaurant in New York on the heels of Taylor’s exciting news. In a photo circulating around X (Twitter), the pair are seen seated at a table engaged in conversation. Selena has on a tan jacket over a dark shirt while Taylor is wearing a black tank with glittery detailing — and appears to be shocked over something the Wizards of Waverly Place alum said! See HERE.

According to Page Six, Monkey Bar posted on its website on Saturday that they would be closing early at 6:30 p.m. local time for “private event” — though it’s unknown if the private event in question was for the pop star besties.
We’re so happy for Taylor! And it’s so good to see her and Selena hanging out! Maybe it’s because Taylor is continuing to keep her distance from Blake Lively, who Selena reportedly warned Tay Tay about!
