Fans of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s love story may have been disappointed she didn’t show up to support him on Christmas Day.
Trav and the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Pittsburgh Steelers in their third game in just 11 days on Wednesday. So why wouldn’t Tay attend the special holiday event match?
Well, the thing is, it was an away game. Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium may be in Tay’s home state of Pennsylvania, but it’s not home as in Arrowhead Stadium. We learned earlier this season the Fortnight singer is much more comfortable from a security standpoint attending home games at the KC facility. She was never going to be able to make it to all of Trav’s games, so it’s a nice compromise that she only goes to the home games — and skips one at stadiums out of town.

The good news? After their win, the Chiefs get to do their playoff games at home. So as long as they stay alive on their journey to a Super Bowl threepeat, Tay will get to come to the games!
The bad news is, the game she did miss happened to be the one where Trav broke one of the biggest records of all time! He scored his 77th touchdown reception — giving him the most in Kansas City history, beating the old record held by fellow tight end Tony Gonzalez — one he’d previously tied in November.

The Chiefs’ official Instagram account congratulated Kelce on his accomplishment.
And Tay showed she was well aware of the milestone by dropping a “like” on the post!

It’s so sweet to see she was thinking about her man even though work kept him away on Christmas morning!
