Teddi Mellencamp says she’s “taken accountability” for her affair drama that led to her split from husband Edwin Arroyave.

As Perezcious readers know, earlier this month, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was exposed for having an affair with a married friend, who Page Six identified as her horse trainer Simon Schröeder. And then follow-up news broke that her husband had stepped out on the romance multiple times beginning in May after an alleged affair carried out way back in 2015. Messy AF!

The reality star ultimately filed for divorce in early November, but has been hesitant to share her side of the story out of respect for her three young kids. However, on Sunday, she took to her Instagram Story to insist she’s “taken accountability” for her wrongdoings! Without getting into specifics, she shared a video of her working out with this caption:

“The only person who can change your life is you. We have 2 options, pretend to be a victim or stand up and fight for yourself. We all deserve peace and happiness.”

Cryptically hinting at the infidelity and divorce scandal, the 43-year-old continued:

“I have cried and mourned. I have taken accountability and apologized for things I have done wrong.. Now I have given myself permission to not pander to the media and tell my side because in the big scheme of things [clickbait] means nothing and of course 3 sides to every story. How I can stand up and show up for the people that do matter does. This is called being an adult. This is what saying it with my full chest means.”

Teddi also posted the Story to her feed, adding in the caption:

“Giving myself permission to grow and thrive. Comments are on “

That last bit is in reference to her followers previously slamming her for turning off comments amid the divorce drama. You can see the full post (below):

Well, we love that she’s finally owning up to her mistakes. However… insisting that there’s more to the story is a little contradictory to the whole taking accountability thing, no? She clearly doesn’t want to take all the blame for this mess. And yet she also won’t spill the tea?! Hmm. Maybe over time she’ll have more to say?? At least this is a step in the right direction…
