Superman is coming in with a healthy dose of hope! The first official poster for the DC Universe film has fans excited to see even more from the project.
Superman has, so far, been filling every key pillar in marketing a blockbuster. A stellar cast, stunning teaser, and tie-ins with major brands have all been put out into the world. However, fans may have not noticed that the DC Universe has neglected the most fundamental part of any film being released on a theatrical scale: the poster.
That’s right. Even though Superman has released an absolute metric ton of art, there has yet to be an official poster released for the DC Universe film. This has led many to wonder what reason there could be for holding it back so long, especially with how core the image is for in-person marketing at theaters. The most common speculation is that the poster might reveal some key revelation about the film prior to release.

Yet with the release of the official trailer for Superman comes the release of the official poster. And DC Universe fans seem to agree: it was more than worth the wait. The poster embodies all of the hope and color that has sat at the center for Superman marketing so far, distilling it into one striking image that is sure to stick in the minds of anyone walking out of the theater.
While this is the official poster for Superman, it’s not likely to be the only one fans get. It’s tradition, especially for comic book films outside of the DC Universe, for multiple different posters to be made. Some just for fun, some for special formats like IMAX or 4DX. These posters will likely trickle out the closer the films get to release and will, hopefully, be just as stunning!
