Who REALLY is Baby Joey? The latest description for Superman sheds some light on what might be the film’s most mysterious character.
Fans thought they had outsmarted Superman. They figured out the identity of the mystery “U” villain before any toys leaked it, and they even knew the Hammer of Boravia was going to be in the film from a newspaper (even if most people thought the character would actually be Gorilla Grodd). Nothing could surprise them….until a little green baby started hitting store shelves.
Nothing has stunned DC fans more than seeing a green baby with a massive head sitting next to the Kaiju in the toy aisle. The character was completely absent in all promotional and production material for Superman up to that point. And, given the character “Baby Joey” doesn’t exist in the comics, they were left dumbfounded about who or what it even was.

Who Is Baby Joey In Superman?
Some thought that Baby Joey might be a creation of Lex Luthor. After all, the toy was next to the Kaiju, which is all but confirmed to be created by the villain. It would make sense that a mutant child would be hatched to serve as the final antagonist in Superman, potentially even being the one to don the Ultraman suit. However, there was no hard evidence either way.
That is, until the latest children’s book released to tie in to Superman. The book had descriptions of a number of major characters, including Baby Joey. This revealed that Baby Joey is actually the son of Metamorpho, with the hero being torn between the side of evil and good in order to keep him safe.
Baby Joey:
“Baby Joey is Metamorpho’s toddler son.
When Joey is taken, Metamorpho must choose between working with Superman or Lex Luthor.”Raptors:
