Watch live: Meet the New Members 2024

]

The 2024 election made history up and down the ballot. President-elect Trump is only the second president to be elected to nonconsecutive terms, and Vice President-elect JD Vance will be the youngest vice president, and first millennial, to serve in the position. Other notable firsts include a Korean American in the Senate and an openly transgender representative in the House.

Republicans will control the White House and both chambers of Congress next year, a trifecta of power for Trump.

The November election was a referendum on current policies, and the 119th Congress has been tasked with tackling important issues led by the U.S. economy. Who are the incoming first-term lawmakers, and are they up for the task? What advice would veteran lawmakers offer their new colleagues? What issues will be front and center for the new Congress? And what will 2025 look like in terms of policy and decisionmaking?

Join The Hill at 7 p.m. ET to meet new and veteran members of Congress to discuss all of the above and more.
