When asked what inspired her to get into acting and how all of this began, Deepika Padukone replied by saying, “You know, I think for me just as a young girl growing up, I grew up in a family full of sportsmen and athletes, and we didn’t watch very many movies but few movies that we watched in a year, every time we went into the cinema, I’d look at these amazing women and be inspired by them and sort of knew somewhere deep down inside as a child that, that is something I would be doing one day. I don’t know how, I have no idea how I was going to go about it, but, I felt like that’s where I belonged. And, so I started my career as a model first, that was my real passion and then I got discovered by Farah Khan, one of the few Indian directors, female directors and Ya, I debuted in 2017. And there’s been no looking back since.”
As one of Bollywood’s leading actresses, Deepika Padukone has continued to take on challenging roles, endorse global brands, and spearhead mental health initiatives through her foundation. Simultaneously, she has also embraced her role as a devoted wife to Ranveer Singh, often sharing glimpses of their loving partnership.
