Donald Trump might consider pardoning Diddy?? It’s something that would have sounded like a hacky late night punchline a few months ago. Not so far-fetched anymore…
The POTUS has gone on a pardoning spree this week, including a bribe-taking Virginia sheriff, a tax fraud GOP congressman, and a businessman who stole millions from his nursing home employees to buy a yacht. That last one was given his pardon a month after his mom donated $1 million to Trump at a fundraising dinner.
Trump’s pardon-a-palooza culminated with the release of Todd and Julie Chrisley. The reality stars had been in prison for two years for fraud — but their daughter Savannah became a big supporter of Trump, and abra kadabra.

Loyalty, political affiliation, and cold, hard cash seem to be the important factors in who Trump pardons, rather than sympathetic stories or public shifts. He’s talked about pardoning the guys who plotted to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Hey, she’s a Democrat, how is that even a crime, right? Sheesh. So yeah, the idea Trump could pardon Diddy? A celebrity whose name has become synonymous with sexual assault due to the sheer volume of allegations to come out over the past year? Not that crazy anymore. Definitely not funny.
It’s likely enough to happen that Trump’s cheerleaders at FoxNews asked him about it! When Peter Doocey suggested the possibility, Trump wouldn’t commit. But he wouldn’t commit either way — meaning, yes, he’d consider it! Specifically, he said:
“I know people are thinking about it. First of all, I’d look at what’s happening… I haven’t spoken to him in years. He really liked me a lot.”
Notice how it’s that same non-committal tone as when he’s asked about Jeffrey Epstein? Hmm.
Obviously, any normal president would just say, GOD NO, WHY WOULD YOU ASK ME THAT?! WHAT IS THIS, A JOKE?? But for Trump, hey, it seems nothing is off the table. What can Diddy do for him, right? Also… what has Diddy done for him.
Unlike a lot of those other folks Trump pardoned, Sean Combs was actually his pal for several years. Trump infamously defended Diddy from Aubrey O’Day‘s insinuations on an episode of Celebrity Apprentice, telling her:
“I love Diddy. You know he’s a good friend of mine, he’s a good guy… I think he’s a good guy, I’m gonna stick up for him.”

Would he stick up for Diddy again? Even if he gets convicted of sex trafficking?! Wouldn’t that at least stick to Teflon Don?
TBH, we doubt it. We mean, his administration helped out Andrew Tate already, and that scandal lasted all of 48 hours. The truth is, Trump will do what he wants and his supporters will follow him no matter what. Even if it means being Team Diddy.
